It really kills me that even some self-described leftists accede to reactionary framing and adopt this language/mentality of "culture wars" to ultimately dismiss the humanity of 69% of the U.S. population, to tell us to be quiet because we're somehow in the way. In the way of what? What goal(s) can ultimately be achieved through a politics that demands that the most marginalized people are sidelined? This mentality doesn't just affect the DNC, it's pervasive.
