I’m not sure if it’s covid and can’t check because there are no PCR test available in Chicago for a week but I’ve had many covid-like symptoms for the past week and have thus not had the energy or ability to write full posts to the quality of my liking. It could very well be something else but nonetheless i’m ill. I don’t normally share personal details (I find it needy and often manipulative) but I wanted to explain the gap in posting. I hope to get better this week and wish to make up for lost time next week with a heavier output.
Thank you for your understanding, reading, and patronage,
Adam
For what it's worth, there's an inevitable amount of personal attachment involved here when following an individual rather than an organization, right? You're not like The Economist anonymizing your contributions here. You can publicly acknowledge you're not a content machine without it coming across as needy or manipulative or like you're just cultivating the parasocial relationship.
Get well soon. Good luck with the new year.
Be well, Adam. @zeynep article today indicating that rapid antigen actually better than pcr for public health purposes. (Yes, realize those aren't available either in most places).
