Rightwing demagogues like Tucker Carlson incite against the homeless on a nightly basis, but mainline outlets also help stigmatize the unhoused, only with more subtlety.
Also kinda fits in to #4 in regards to the homeowners being the victims but I've noticed an increased utilization of the save the children narrative in regards to the Seattle housing crisis. For example, last week's komo news talked about the insidious counter protesters viciously tearing the signs from the poor people that just wanna protest the unhoused sleeping in woodland park cuz they're concerned for their children. It made me vomit in my mouth a bit. I grew up homeless until I was around sixteen-seventeen and I always find it funny to make people justify how that can be moral in any possible sense. At least conservatives will just blame me or my parents to my face for it. Sorry for the word vomit, few things in the media upset me as much as this. Great article, love your work

lots of comments on my Nextdoor about kids going to parks where there might be homeless people and finding needles, etc.
It is disgusting how the media gaslight the homeless. Good article.
